HonestPocket publishes personal finance education intended to help readers understand choices and take practical next steps. These standards apply to guides, calculators, topic pages, reviews, and related editorial content.
Research and sources
We start with the reader question, identify the facts needed to answer it, and prefer primary or authoritative sources when a claim depends on laws, tax rules, rates, product terms, or other changing information. Time-sensitive facts should include a date or be reviewed before publication.
Writing and review
Content should explain assumptions, tradeoffs, limitations, and realistic alternatives in plain language. The writer checks links, calculations, examples, and material claims before publication. HonestPocket does not claim a separate expert review when one did not occur.
Corrections and updates
